Position: Store Officer / Engineer
Industry: Industrial Motor Manufacturing
Experience Level: 7–12 Years
Qualification : Diploma or BE/ any UG Degree
Preference : SAP Knowledge is Must
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels for raw materials, components, and finished products.
- Ensure optimal stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts, using inventory management software ( SAP).
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts, identifying discrepancies and rectifying them promptly.
- Implement and monitor FIFO (First In, First Out) and LIFO (Last In, First Out) methods where applicable.
- Material Handling and Storage:
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, and preservation of all materials, especially those critical to motor manufacturing like metals, winding materials, and electrical components.
- Ensure the store layout is organized and materials are stored safely, following proper safety guidelines.
- Coordination with Departments:
- Coordinate closely with the Production, SCM, and Quality Control departments to ensure that the required materials are available for uninterrupted production.
- Communicate material shortages or delays proactively to avoid production bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely restocking of critical materials..
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all store transactions, including GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), issue slips, and dispatch notes.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to material storage and handling.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all safety protocols related to material handling and storage are strictly followed, minimizing accidents and ensuring compliance with occupational safety standards.
- Train store personnel in safety practices and ensure that proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is used at all times.
- Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Optimize inventory management to reduce holding costs and prevent wastage or obsolescence.
- Participate in annual budget preparation for store operations, including forecasting material requirements and planning storage needs.
- Team Leadership and Supervision:
- Supervise and lead store personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure store operations run smoothly, even in your absence.
- Handle grievance resolution and staff development to enhance team efficiency.
- Logistics Coordination:
- Oversee the receipt and dispatch of goods, ensuring timely loading and unloading of materials.
- Work with logistics partners to track shipments and maintain records of material transit.
- Ensure that transport costs are minimized by optimizing delivery schedules and consolidating shipments when possible.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Inventory Management: Experience with inventory control processes, ERP systems( SAP),
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with the materials, components, and equipment used in industrial motor manufacturing, such as motors, bearings, winding materials, electrical components, etc.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in SAP for inventory management .
